ACTING IN SA: Skills and Inspirations by Roel Twijnstra & Emma Durden

In their third industry-related book, Twijnstra and Durden tackle what it means to be an actor in South Africa. It is a user-friendly introduction to acting for both stage and screen, and provides insight into the local industry. The book includes interviews with actors and directors, coaches, agents and producers, who talk about their own experiences and share tips for surviving as an actor. Interviewed actors include Andrew Buckland, David Dennis, Dawn Thandeka King and Dr Jerry Mofokeng. The book is published by Twist Projects with support from the National Lotteries Commission and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.  Books will be on sale at a special festival price of R100 each.
