When Hermien Coleman-Spies left the Midlands to relocate with her family to Nigeria, 5 of her original group who had become friends decided to continue to paint together and so formed The Giverny Art Group. There are no structured classes, all the members are very diverse, working in different media, from abstracts, portraits, colorful flowers, delicate water colors, using oils, mixed media, chalks and charcoal.The camaraderie and support for each other has led to an amazing creativity within the group, made up of the following Midlands artists: Cristina Richardson, Vicky Cressy, Louise Dunning, Margeret Bretchke, Carolyn Goble, Marion Lowe, Gael Worrall, Cindy Powell, Diane Aldworth, Val Tasker, Wendy Thomson and Bea Wucherphennig.
