A family of artists – The Wenkidu’s: Martin, Hildegard, Celia & Rae
Paper pieces / etchings / sculptures Mythical, magical, full of joy & vibrant colours that speak of the African sun.
Graphic poet Martin Wenkidu’s work is built up in collage layers & include unique handmade papers that form an intrinsic part of the final presentation. He has exhibited all over the world, & was selected by the Royal Institute of Painters in watercolour, to show in the Mall Gallery in London. His most noted collector is the Earl Castle-Stewart, vice president of the Guggenheim in Venice.

African Genesis
Hildegard studied Fine Art at the University of KZN in Pmb majoring in philosophy & printmaking. She has worked as a fulltime artist since 1998, successfully exhibiting in London & New York. She is inspired by fragile beauty & humour in life.

Rhythm 1
After completing her Fine Art degree, Celia worked in England. She now runs a company called Space Alchemy that works in spaces both interior & exterior, creating landscapes, paintings instillations & conventional sculptures. She is busy doing a project on a Royal Zulu collection.
Award winning designer, Rae is known for her fine drawings & rustic montages working with textural surfaces & often using the natural grain of the wood. For the last 7 years she has been deeply interested in the healing aspect of mandalas.
