Born in Durban and brought up on a farm in Zululand by parents with a love and passion for the vibrancy of our beautiful country, wildlife, vast open spaces and rainbow nation.

“I studied Graphic Art at the University of Stellenbosch where I completed my degree at the end of 1986. I worked in the commercial art sector for 15 years.For the last 5 years I have been concentrating and enjoying the freedom of fine art! The joy of movement, harmony of colour and composition as well as different media and subject matter is so exciting. This has inspired me to paint in oils, acrylic and a bit of mixed media, I hope to bring happiness  and a calm feeling of content to the viewer.

Am passionate about painting donkeys and contribute 10% of earnings from my paintings to ESELTJIESRUS – a donkey sanctuary in McGregor, Western Cape, which offers a permanent home for abused, neglected and elderly donkeys.  To learn more and adopt-a-donkey visit their website www.donkeysanctuary.co.za 

I currently live in Winterskloof in Hilton and exhibit at Art & Soul, Karin Davel’s gallery in the Midlands.
