AYNSLEY HERBERT

I am an artist using wooden panels which I carve and add metal items as part of the design. I exhibit my work at my wife’s gallery “Art on Victoria” and have exhibited in the Cape as well. These are painted white but, depending on the piece, I sometimes leave them as natural wood.

VERONICA HERBERT

Veronica Herbert is a professional artist who draws inspiration from the natural world. She paints landscapes in oil on canvas, capturing mood and atmosphere in her skies. The ever changing colours of the sky at various times of the day and depicting different seasons are a favourite theme for her paintings. She enjoys using palette knife to create broad impressions of sky and cloud. She also specializes in detailed bird studies on hand made paper. In order to portray the accurate details of the birds,  she works in watercolour using very fine brushes.   Her work is on permanent display at her gallery “Art on Victoria” in Pietermaritzburg, where she also exhibits many ceramic artists works as well as several other well known artists.

PENNY MEAKIN

Penny is a professional artist with a passion for the African environment and its wildlife. Her artistic repertoire encompasses African fauna and landscapes, in oils and acrylics. She has illustrated numerous books on birds and other wildlife, with her particular speciality being African game birds. Currently she is working on additional illustrations for a future edition of Roberts Birds of Southern Africa. Her work is exhibited in the Crake Gallery in Johannesburg. www.gamebirdart.co.za
